This course aims to improve basic language and communication skills of students who may need to operate in English in an international business environment. The course content consists of simple realistic texts, tasks and topics similar to those business professionals would expect to encounter in their daily working lives. The context of the course materials is based on international business topics such as corporate culture, requirements, sales and marketing, as well as other relevant aspects of business and commerce. The language proficiency of the participants in this course is expected to be at an intermediate (B1 of CEFR) level. The course participants will also be prepared for a Cambridge ESOL exam specifically designed for business students or practicing business professionals called BEC- Preliminary (Business English Certificate), which awards a certificate internationally recognized by leading associations.
